Bilton to Lead Y M C A Membership Drive in Bridgeport
Edgar Bilton president of Bilton Machine and Tool Co. was elected general chairman of the November Y M C A membership committee at the Seaside club. Others named as lieutenants include Tilsworth Brown and Harvey Gish. The group aims to recruit more members than October and achieve full renewal. A social and reception for the November committee is set for Friday night in the Y M C A rooms.

Half a dozen electors were sworn in yesterday by the selectmen in a session for admission of those who had reached age 21 since Ost. or whose residence met the six month requirement. Many applications were reviewed and names placed on the list to be sworn. Some who did not meet the time requirement appeared asking for swearing in.

Bridgeport City Truck Crash Injures Driver
Sam Samanoht of 89 Howard Avenue was injured when a three and a half ton city truck collided with another vehicle as he drove into the driveway of the municipal garbage disposal plant on Asylum Street. He was taken to Emergency Hospital for treatment. The city truck was only lightly damaged while the other vehicle suffered extensive damage.

Stamford Woman Not Held for Auto Crash
Mrs. Mary Smith of Stamford was discharged by Deputy Judge Verris in Borough court after arraignment on a charge of reckless driving. The court found she was not at fault when her auto struck Miss Annie Reis of Glenville at Rustor Chester on September 30. Reis sustained injuries requiring medical care.
