Chapman Confers with Counsel on Notorious Bandit Case

Indirect victim of the Chapman conviction is described with his wife murdered near Muncie Indiana by George Dutch Anderson, a friend of Chapman, likely as retaliation after testimony at the trial. Anderson was killed in a pistol duel with a Muskegon Michigan policeman last Saturday. A photograph shows the bandit before his escape from Atlanta penitentiary and his near downfall ending in capture in Muncie and eventual murder conviction carrying the death penalty, with only minor changes to his appearance.
