Sergeant Thomas J. Reilly spoke to workers at the G Drouve company plant on Drouve Street urging 1 to 91 pledges. Every employee signed, led by Mrs Ethel Hawes, making the plant the first in the city to reach 100 percent. Bride Tries Gas Death After Spat in Bridgeport
Virginia Buckley a 22 year old newlywed and Bridgeport resident was found unconscious in her Fairfield Avenue room with a rubber tube jet connected to gas flooding the room. Police and lodging-house proprietor Catherine Richards said a quarrel with her husband over Hinckley leaving for work preceded the incident. Buckley, employed as a fireman by the railroad, is believed to survive. the case centers on a domestic dispute rapidly escalating to self harm.

Pleading of First Wife Gains Lopez Attorney Advises Leniency
In Bridgeport yesterday, Richard F. Lopez received a light one year jail sentence after pleading guilty to a bigamy charge in Superior Court. His wife, the mother of five, asked for leniency.
