Draft Board No 13 resolves its shortage by inducting as many as possible from its 143 quota without taking farmers or men from other classes. Board jurisdiction covers nine suburban towns and many eligible men had ex emptions, leaving few in Class MI. Adjutant general signals shortage may be shifted to another board, but No 13 will not be required to furnish 145 men. Weather forecast from Washington notes partly cloudy, cooler conditions for East New York and cooler showers in the Northeast with fair conditions in Maine and New England through Tuesday and Wednesday.
