Two Boys Drown After Straying Into New Canaan Pond
In New Canaan a search for two boys ended in tragedy as Jed Ervin seven and Jim Nasser eight were found dead about eight feet of water near the ice-covered Jelliff Mill Pond. They had been missing since four pm and were near shore when found. Medical examiner Dr. Thomas Cody ruled drowning as the cause. The Rev. William Byrne conducted last rites and the bodies were sent to Franklin Hoyt funeral home.

Mrs. Rose Marie Jimenez 30 of Building 22 Father Panik village died in Bridgeport hospital from injuries after a two car collision at Arctic and William streets Tuesday. State Trooper George Beredeto found her unconscious. she had a skull fracture. Mr Jimenez and Mrs Irene Flasko were involved. Jimenez was arrested for failing to obey a stop sign.
