Fairfield Kiwanis hear Sullivan praise Irish immigrants
John L. Sullivan, Fairfield’s selectman, spoke at the Kiwanis Club St Patrick’s Day luncheon at Stratfield Motor Inn. He argued immigrants built America’s roads, canals, cities, and industries, and that St Patrick’s legend inspired immigrant perseverance. He urged equality and opportunity for all newcomers.
