Ireland honoured for culture and history by Dr O'Sullivan
Dr. Maurice J. O'Sullivan spoke at the Lions Club on St Patrick's Day observances about Ireland's rich, ancient culture and global impact. He traced Ireland's geography, early education, Viking raids, English oppression, and the Great Migration to the United States, noting the 1840s famine drove mass emigration and that many Irish valued faith and education over wealth.
