Westport Faces Road Funds Shortfall For Weston Route
Westport officials warn the Weston road project will exceed the available 226000 by a wide margin. State estimates put the Weston road at 158000 plus 20000 for two Burrs bridges, about 47000 per mile, far above the town's 32000 expectation. The selectmen consider a special town meeting to address the deficit as they await state solutions.
