Bridgeport Area Development Bureau Forming
A Bridgeport Area Development bureau is being organized by the Area Development committee of the Bridgeport Area Chamber of Commerce to aid business development. It will be semi autonomous with a $30,000 budget, a paid director, and staff, funded mainly by area utilities and banks, and will coordinate with the mayor’s office to use new land condemnation powers for economic development.
