Bridgeport Ships Three New Submarines for U-Boat War
Three new submarines N 4 N 5 and N 7 built at Lake yard turn over to U S Navy today coast guard duty on Atlantic coast or en route to France within three days. They are nearly complete with food supplies to be added. Commanders Mann Haas and Skidmere to report to Atlantic port naval station this afternoon as crews prepared for operations against German submarines. Demented Man Falls From Dock and Dies
The body of a demented man found under the decks at the A. W. Burritt Lumber company yards was identified as Aulos ta Scivaseki of 41 Randall Avenue. Friends of Scivaseki said he had been missing for several days. he had wandered from home before and sometimes failed to return. It is believed he fell into the river from a nearby dock in darkness. He was buried in the potter's field. Scivaseki, born in Italy, had no relatives here and was 16 years old.

Bridgeport Woman Robbed by Devon Night Raiders
Milford June 14 Mrs Tish Culle of 6% Clarence street Bridgeport said three men robbed her near the New York Hartford railroad tracks as she walked with her baby. One man snatched the child and threatened its life until she yielded $20 the only money she had. The child was returned and the robbers jumped a passing freight train.
