New Fairfield Man Sends Flag to Ninth Infantry in Vietnam
Andrew J. Sullivan of New Fairfield Conn sends a small American flag from a May 13 Fifth Avenue protest to the First Brigade Second Battalion 47th Infantry in Vietnam. He writes the flag represents the many flags carried in the parade and honors local soldiers who died in service. The gift arrives ahead of Memorial Day as a tribute to those who served under the colors of the 4th Infantry of the Ninth Division.
