Marblehead Citadel Honors John Glover Amphibian Regiment
Marblehead honored Brigadier General John Glover and his amphibian Marblehead Regiment with a tablet on the old corn shop house. The tribute recalls Glover leading Washington across the Delaware on Christmas Day 1776 and saving Long Island by deftly coordinating boats and sailors in a perilous evacuation and crossing that defined a crucial chapter of the Revolutionary War.
