Alfie Moore, a lake prospector on northern Lake Michigan, found a large barrel marked Ola Crow on Fisherman's Island last fall. He buried it, moved it during winter, hauled it to Charlevoix with his dog, and sold the barrel and its dill pickles for 13.50, far below his $2,000 estimate.
