Woman beaten dies as man held in Moodus
The body of Frances McMillan a 46 year old Houston Texas woman was found beaten to death in a Moodus Main street apartment. Dillard Johnson 56 a Beau mont Texas man is in custody on an open coroner's warrant. The two had been living together and the husband from Houston reported her missing in 1957. The coroner cited broken ribs a punctured lung and severe facial injuries. The alleged suspect is held without bond pending autopsy results. The case was investigated by State Police Captain Robert Rundle and Coroner A Harold Campbell.
