Fresh Huns Ready To Renew Italian Smash
Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels via telegram urges all young men under draft age to stay in school and pursue military instruction where possible so they may be prepared as officers when called. The note says War and Navy Secretaries favor completing education and the Navy accepts men over 18 who wish to enlist. The message also notes Hog Island News acknowledgement and clarifies a cantonment rumor about the camp’s role in receiving and training rather than serving as a depot brigade for transfer elsewhere.
