Crowder Delays Final Decision on Baseball Rules
Washington July 22 The request to extend the work and fight regulations for professional baseball players to end of the season was postponed to Wednesday so the national commission can present its views. Provost Marshal General Crowder heard Washington and American League reps and was ready to issue recommendations. Manager Griffith said the Washington club would travel to St Louis to play Thursday unless President Johnson or Secretary Baker directs otherwise to save travel costs if Baker’s decision is unfavorable.
