Speers Recovers After 65 Foot Fall at Connecticut Light Plant
Speers, 28, a Milford area fiancé of Marguerite Hurley, fell 65 feet through an opening on the third floor of a Connecticut Light & Power plant in Devon and survived a skull fracture and broken ankle. Surgeons led by Dr. C. K. Kleady removed seven pieces of crushed skull. Speers shows remarkable recovery at Milford Hospital and may wed in the autumn, delaying plans for a June 16 ceremony and a furnished flat at 279 Myrtle Avenue. Wreckage and icebergs reported in the area raise concern for maritime incidents with unidentified vessels and debrisa drifting toward the coast.

Greenwich Lawyer Wins Own Action Over Right of Way
Theodore Schroeder, a Greenwich resident and New York bar member, won an appeal partly in his favor from the Supreme Court of Errors. The court ruled there is no error on Samuel W. Taylor's appeal but found error in part on Schroeder's, sending the case back to the Common Pleas for correction of judgment regarding the right of way's permitted uses and title. The dispute involved a Cognenaugh ropa strip and whether prior nonuse by owners affected Schroeder's title or rights.
