Cleveland July 1 A new record paddling across Lake Erie was set by Texan Jock Sullivan who arrived at the Cleveland Yacht Club after a 60 mile trek in under 24 hours. He paddled a 18 foot canoe from Rondeau Canada at 5 14 yesterday and finished near Rockey River at 6 10 this evening amid heavy seas. Sullivan is noted as the only white man to paddle the lake alone. Indians are known to have made the trip but not solo travelers.
