Thomas A. Fogarty, 41, a former Stamford druggist and Yale graduate, was found dead in a bathroom at the Hotel Davenport Stamford from an overdose of strychnine. Despondency over ill health is cited by medical examiner Dr. G H Noxon acting in place of Stamford’s ME. Fogarty resigned from French Drug Co Stamford and took a Chicago sales job. He leaves sister Miss Catherine Fogarty of Brooklyn and brother Charles Fogarty in the Hotel Taft.

Woman saves life as shot fired in Milford dispute
Milford January 21 Special Mrs James Sullivan of Derby Avenue Milford likely saved her husband the foreman at Pratt fruit farm when she struck the arm of Allan Johnston alias George Parks after he drew a 35 caliber revolver and fired. The bullet lodged in the ceiling. Johnson a fruit firm employee had visited Sullivan’s home after supper and offered candy to her two children. A quarrel over candy led to Johnson drawing a revolver. Mrs Sullivan struck upward at the weapon preventing a shot. Johnson fled but returned later and was arrested for carrying concealed weapons and assault with a dangerous weapon. He faces arraignment in Milford town court.
