Rum theft ring floods New Jersey coast cars seized

A large interstate car theft ring flooded Connecticut cities with over 1200 stolen automo biles and state police seized four Studebaker limousines and a Ford sedan. Rev Percy Gordon Shotself in New York Hotel

The Rev Dr Percy Gordon formerly of New Bedford and St Bartholomew s Church Park Avenue was found dead in the bathroom of his Hotel Wolcott suite in New York City. A pistol with an empty cartridge lay beside him and a bullet pierced his temple. He was sixty and had left the church months ago for a Europe trip.
