John S. Gerak, 44, of 172 Horace Street, was killed instantly last night when he fell under the wheels of an eastbound New Haven train as it pulled from Bridgeport station at 6:19. Witnesses said he slipped while rushing to catch the train. another inbound train passed over the body before the carrier halted.
