An investigation into alleged misconduct at the University of Michigan begins after reports of four students withdrawing from studies following Christmas. The situation, handled by President Burton and two deans, aims to probe moral conditions rather than a standard disciplinary committee. Corners of campus note differences from prior action by Burton. The Cornell piece quotes Lt. Theodore Sweeten praising coeds for enforcing Volstead norms, claiming minimal drinking due to girls boycotting drinkers and excluding them from social events.
