Hartford Jan 9 Subpoenas were served on members of the Connecticut Eclectic Examining board and James A Christian of Fairfield to testify before the Grand Jury Thursday in a medical probe. Board members include Dr Ernst A Markham Dr James E Hair Dr Ralph A White and Dr John Perry. Christian, previously before the Inquisitorial body, faces charges of soliciting funds from eclectic physicians for a slush fund to influence legislation and protect licenses. White was named by William P Sachs among others for allegedly securing fraudulent credentials.

Christian in vain attempt to have court hear case
Fairfield doctor Christian of Eclectic spent Tuesday in the Verity Building trying to appeal a license revocation by the Public Health Council. Court officials said no ruling would come before next month. He cited writ language listing returnable dates as January first Tuesday.
