Milford to Vote Jan 24 on Move To Oust Aldermen

Milford referendum set for January 24 from noon to 8 PM at West Shore Recreation Center to recall two Democratic aldermen. Petitioners accuse John R. LeGeyt and John W. Wright of lack of representation over Harrison Avenue low income housing project. 348 and 368 valid signatures secured respectively, with a court case pending on the housing plan.

Errant Mace Missile Pursuit Over Caribbean Spanning Cuba to Ocean

Washington reports an unarmed Mace target drone launched from Eglin AFB veered southward crossing near western Cuba before likely splashing into the Atlantic about 100 miles south of the island. A Phantom jet fired air to air missiles and cannon to down the drone but failed to stop its errant course. Man Sought in Bridgeport Shooting Found Wounded in NY

Bridgeport police sought a man in connection with a local shooting. Robert Shepard, 26, of 25 Sunshine Circle, was found wounded in a car near Geneva New York. A pistol was found at the scene and investigators pursued how the wound occurred.

Industrialist reports site under study for new New York airport

Connecticut industrialist Brig. Gen. Joseph L Stewart USMC Ret senior vice president of Armstrong Rubber Co told a regional transportation symposium that Bradley Field near Hartford is being reviewed as a potential fourth international airport for the New York region. He said the public source was not disclosed but noted Connecticut as a possible site to support New York’s international air needs. Bradley is already an alternate international airport for New York and could logically absorb Hartford’s domestic air load.

Judge to Appoint Administrator of Pinchin Estate
