Hartford Lawmakers Honor Bridgeport University 40th Birthday
The House approved a resolution paying tribute to the University of Bridgeport on its 40th anniversary. Rep. McLoughlin noted the growth from the 1927 Junior College of Connecticut to a sizable university with 8344 last year and projected 10000 by 1972. Rep. Dowd praised its education role. Rep. Burrows cited a $25 million campus and thanked leaders Dana Littlefield and Halsey for support.

Universalist Club Plans Theater Party in Bridgeport
The Social club of the Universalist church at 96 Chapel Street Stratford will host a dessert and theater party Monday at 7 PM in the Fellowship hall.
