Four inmates foil attempted escape at Ohio Penitentiary

Four convicts at Ohio Penitentiary tried to scale a 40 foot wall using ladders but were stopped by a 12 man guard squad. Theodore A. Jackson 35 William C. Jackson 48 Edward Mischler 51 and George Wertz 29, serving terms from Franklin Lucas counties. They had hacksaws to cut chains binding ladders. All were placed in solitary.
