Chief Brennan of Stamford Police Dies at 97
Stamford, Feb 20 William J Brennan longtime chief of police here for 17 years and president of the State Police Association died at his home after a yearlong illness. He was 97 and marked the 22nd anniversary of his police appointment February 5. He served as State Police Association vice president from 1905 to 1912 when elected president. He also sat on the executive committee of the International Police Chiefs Association. He is survived by his widow and two sons William H. and Gaynor.
