16 Year Old Boy Struck and Killed on Main Street

A 16 year old boy, Philip Barnhill, died after being struck by a car on Main Street. The driver, Stephen Harmon, 23, a crewman on the U S S Blenny at Groton, was charged with negligent homicide. The collision occurred Monday night near Crystal Avenue.

New Starting Time Set for Roosevelt Winter Harness Meet

Roosevelt Raceway starts its 1968 winter harness season with an 8 p.m. first race post time from January 3 to March 2. Track president George Morton Levy aims for earlier home times, with 940 horses entered and top handlers ready to race. Auto Injuries Fatal To Watertown Child

WATERBURY AP Ten year old Nancy E Clock of Watertown died at Waterbury Hospital from injuries suffered when struck by a car Dec 18. Roberta Temple Jr, the other girl hurt, was reported in good condition. Police charged Albert Hresko of Watertown with reckless driving and driving under the influence. he was freed on a $1000 bond. Police could not say Monday night if Hresko would faces further action.

Wallet stolen after driver is coerced to stop

The man said he was ordered to drive to the Sylvan avenue side of the park where he was instructed to lie down on the seat. A stranger took his wallet from his pocket and fled. Kalinas said the wallet contained his drivers license five credit cards and other belongings. He said he had no money.
