Demobilization Gains Pace Across Economy
New York December 21 Demobilization is advancing faster than expected not only in the military arena but across industry and commerce. Restrictions on steel textiles and other industries have nearly ended and price fixing has largely disappeared. Readjustment of labor is proceeding with new employment for discharged workers while government borrowing and taxes press on. The article notes growing foreign trade interest, a rising export trend, and potential relief in the money market though government requirements remain heavy. Henry Clhws.
