Concrete Trolley Poles Set Along Plaza Route
Connecticut firm began setting new concrete trolley poles from Stata and Malin streets to Pairfield avenue and Water street replacing wooden ones. About twenty five poles will be installed, and the project may finish after January as cold weather slows progress. The poles will reach 90 feet in height and a temporary asphalt layer will be laid on State street while work continues. London dispatch notes a storm disrupted trading at an Ilford confectioner store with cakes and sweets affected.
