Youth Acquitted In Assault Case

Robert D. Grillo aged 19 of 420 Pearl Harbor Street was found not guilty by a Circuit court jury of assault. Judge George DiCenzo discharged Grillo from custody after testimony indicated his involvement stemmed from a confrontation in the Charcoal Pond area with a group of youths.

Bridgeport Airport Gets Federal Funds for Fire and Rescue Building

The Federal Aviation Administration allocates 62 075 in matching funds to Bridgeport for the municipal airport. The grant is part of a 72 5 million federal program supporting 441 civilian airports for the year ending June 30. Funds cover construction of a fire and rescue building, utilities, an apron and access road.
