Plea to Coolidge for Karolyi Fails to Change Policy
The State Department stands firm in barring Countess Catherine Karolyi from visiting the United States. A White House–to–State request for President Coolidge to reverse Secretary Kellogg’s ruling was responded to with no change. The department notes the decision remains unchanged and cites ongoing justification and communications about charges and hearings.
