Poultry Show Declared Greatest Ever Held Here
A Bridgeport poultry show report states the event was the largest ever in the city with three rare varieties. Harold E. Dorman won the Clayton L. Smith silver cup for most points on a single specimen and Elsie Burr of Alfalfa Farm Fairfield received the Maya. William Behrens earned best display. The junior show featured Miss Ethel Burr. The exhibit included varieties such as Tergische Krater, Rive Langshans, and Trminettes. Numerous prizes were awarded to individuals and farms across Stratford, Fairfield, Bridgeport, Norwalk, Southport, and others for Rhode Island Reds, White Leghorns, White Wyandottes, and Brown Leghorns.
