Canoe voyage around world ends with sailor’s death
Rudolph Roehrle, 36, who aimed to circumnavigate the globe by canoe, is found dead on Chesapeake Bay after a voyage that began October 16 in Brewer Maine. The plan covered 32,090 miles in three years, following prior around Horn crossings and river journeys. Roehrle, a seafarer since 16, had hoped to complete the final world loop. his body’s discovery ends the perilous project.
