Warrant Issued for Unionville Doctor Sutcliffe in Manslaughter Case

Hartford dispatch reports Dr. George M. Sutcliffe of Unionville is charged with manslaughter for the May 22 death of Albert C. Hoody, a service man, after an amputation operation. Bond set at $5,000. court released him Saturday afternoon with execution suspended until then. Further warrants possible as the grand jury probe continues and a Hartford doctor faces perjury allegations.

Ohio Man Jailed for Attempted Kidnap Plot

Ohio man Teaden Dae Ru and associates were sentenced in Hamilton for conspiring to kidnap Grover Cleveland Bergdolt, a U.S. draft evader, with the plan to seize him at Wberbach in August. Eclectics Hold Back Certificates In Hartford

One of 18 physicians whose licenses were revoked Tuesday has returned certificates to the State Health department. Officials say others followed by closing time this afternoon. The move suggests doctors may appeal revocations to the Superior court.

A meeting of deposed eclectic doctors at the Stratfield Hotel Hartford resolved to contest revocation of their licenses under the order of the Eclectic Examining Board at the direction of Hugh Alcorn State’s attorney in charge of the Grand Jury. On the short calendar in Superior court yesterday nine uncontested divorces were granted with decisions reserved in one case and another delayed due to witness timing.
