Mt Rainier and Tacoma in a lively travel note from 1922
A colorful Tacoma reminiscence praises Mount Rainier and the city’s harbor, hotels, and exports. It extols Tacoma as a major West Coast railroad center with extensive mills and factories, notes forest fires, port facilities, and a quirky pay-what-you-want streetcar system. It also mentions theaters, vaudeville, baseball stadiums, and affordable entertainment as Mount Tacoma rises in the background.
