Cape Cod undertow drags dozens injuring many
A Cape Cod beach disaster left one woman dead and at least 11 injured as a powerful undertow pulled bathers from the shore at Hyannis. Lifesaving crews and guards rescued several dozen, with many treated for immersion, shock, and minor injuries. The drift swept a youth and others from the packed beach amid a long, crowded shoreline.
