Lawrence E. Townsend 35 was found guilty by a Superior court jury on two counts of second degree assault related to the May 30, 1972 wounding of two policemen on Stratford Avenue. Each count carries up to five years. sentencing set for today at 11 a.m. in Judge Kenneth Z. Zarrilli's courtroom. Townsend's attorney John R.
