Horace McMahon Dies Actor and Friend of Cops
Horace McMahon 48, Norwalk native, died last night at Norwalk Hospital after being admitted Aug 10. A long time actor famed for gangsters and policemen roles on stage screen TV and radio and a friend to police, he studied at Norwalk High Fordham and Fordham Law before leaving to star in Broadway's Broadway thriller and later in Detective Story Red Gloves and The Detective. He appeared in The Naked City Big Town and as a USO performer during WWI. He spoke at local police and Catholic Charities events in 1961 and 1962. funeral details pending.
