Policeman Rescues Four Derby Boys From River
Four Derby boys aged ten to fourteen were rescued from drowning by Motorcycle Officer William Burke of Derby. The youths were drifting in a water-filled boat on the Hou satonic river about three miles from Derby when rescued. San Diego Cal Aug 16 By Ane Associated Press two work flight records for distance and duration held by Fritz Loose were broken and one world's speed record for 2008 kilometers was set by Lieutenants Byron Connell and Herberene G. Rodd. The naval flyers completed a 20 hours flight that began Monday and ended this morning aboard the FP N 10 seaplane weighing about 11 tons with 1200 pounds sand ballast, 120 gallons of fuel oil and no fuel left in tanks.
