New Haven Aug 15 Joseph Badleki grocer of New Britain lists debts of 4784 dollars and assets of 33300 dollars in a bankruptcy petition filed today.
Wilam M Wood Jr son of American Woolen Company president and Alex Gardner of North Andover were killed in a high speed crash on the Reading Andover boulevard near Deadman's Curve. Paul Tice of Shawaheen Village survived with a broken rib as their heavy car demolished two vehicles and crashed into a telegraph pole. Police seek the other racing car, while William Mood of Brookline arrives to take Wood's body to North Andover.
Governor Everett Dake announces the appointment of A W Burritt, head of Inig City, as a delegate to the Connecticut State of Commerce. The association aims to influence government for improvements to waterways along the Atlantic coast, with its annual meeting focusing on this effort.
