Savings Deposits Climb In Connecticut Banks
Hartford April Commissioner John B Banktyeng released figures on savings banks for the quarter ending March 37 showing total deposits at the close of the period rising by 13 005 438 87 from the December base. The uptick marks the largest quarter in state banking history, with the prior high at 120 860 178 58. An ultramobile owned by Charl T Carroll of Windsor Avenue was stolen yesterday from Broad Street near Sonn Street.
