Live Shell Found at Sewage Plant and Dismantled
A 40 millimeter live shell was found by a workman at the Municipal sewage disposal plant at 695 Seaview Avenue yesterday at 12 15 p m. Bridgeport Police bomb disposal unit confirmed the danger and the shell was disposed of in harbor waters off Pleasure Beach park. Plant manager Robert O Loughlin alerted police after the find near a parking lot located over 200 yards from the street. No cause or origin was determined.
