Atlas Hotel Atlas Sentence Upheld In Court
Atlas proprietor of the Hotel Atlas 247 Pairfield Avenue appeared before Judge John T Booth in common pleas criminal court yesterday on an appealed case from city court. The lower court decision was sustained with a $100 fine and costs and six months in jail though the jail term was suspended. The Hotel Atlas raid on March 20 led to charges of conducting a disorderly house. The following day he was fined $100 and costs in city court to which an appeal was taken. Other items include a 14 year old guilty plea for throwing stones at trains and a Stratford assault case reduced on review. Isaac Monroe forfeited a $100 bond in a city court appeal. Straislvus Gerva pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was fined.
