College Education Too Materialistic Says Dr Moody
Dr Paul D Moody president of Middlebury College warned at a Ch tech Forum that modern college education focuses too much on material gains. He argued education should cultivate culture and broad knowledge rather than narrow specialization and utilitarian aims. He cited a former Middlebury student engineer who urged Greek study for mental discipline and noted many students abandon classical study for appealing disciplines.
