Quadruplets born to 2 year old Columbia ewe in Montana

In Missoula Montana Kenneth W Hinman reports his two year old Columbia sheep ewe has given birth to quadruplets an event occurring less than once in a million births. The four lambs are healthy and are being hand fed with bottles and canned milk. The ewe typically bears one lamb first year and twins thereafter. Sheepmen say triplets are rare and Hinman owns a small flock of about 85.
