Seven Dollar Fine Follows Fight in Westport Home
Ignatz Shanke of 22 Slocum street Norwalk was found guilty in Town court of intoxication breach of peace and assault. Judge Joseph Adams imposed a seven dollar fine plus costs and 80 days in jail, with an additional four days jail suspended. Shanke was arrested after a disturbance at Mrs Helen Stankovichs Roseville road home in which he threw a jar of tomatoes and stones. State police also arrested two motorists for operating vehicles with insufficient nights. William Scence of Bridgeport and Thomas Clark of New York City were taken into custody by Trooper James Finnegan. Also noted: British trade union membership fell 3,090,000 since wartime. Philippines coal mines have traditionally been state owned and operated.
