5000 Shipmen at Norfolk May Strike Today

Norfolk Va March 31 Carpenters and joiners at the Hampton Roads Naval base the Pig Point ordnance depot and the Bush Bluff army depot voted tonight to strike tomorrow unless their wage and eight hour day demands are granted by the government Union leaders said between 5000 and 6000 men would go out maintaining a large scale stoppage at key naval facilities in Hampton Roads.

Auto Collision Leaves Man With Five Fractured Ribs

Daniel Snyder of 85 Prank Street was struck and knocked down by an automobile driven by Stephen Sabo of 246 Howard Avenue on Fairfield road near the town line. He sustained five fractured ribs and probable internal injuries. Police were notified. no arrests were made. He is receiving treatment at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Police Move to New Fourth Precinct Station

This forenoon marks the passing of the old Fourth Precinct station at North Main street and Hawley avenue. Police take up residence at Thorne street and Beechmont avenue after new furniture and fittings arrived weeks ago. Offenders who frequented the old station will have to travel several blocks for lodging, as the daughters vacated the old station early today.
