At 1 o'clock this afternoon a number of candidates for office at the last election had failed to file their accounts of election expenses with the town clerk. The time for filing such nine accounts expires at o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Treasurers or political agents who fail to file their expense accounts before the time expires tomorrow afternoon may be fined $25 for each day they are in default unless excused by the court. The candidates who have not filed license accounts at an L o'clock by day were: Democrats Alterest for selectman, S. L. Johnson and Patrick Carroll for aldermen in the 5th and 7th districts. Republicans City Sheriff Joseph Kalatus. Progressives Daniel Gibson and C Waldorf for aldermen in the 2nd and 6th districts. The law requires town clerks to report to the secretary of state or prosecuting attorney those candidates who fail to report.
