In a dramatic morning assault Bulgarians captured Adrianople after fierce fighting. Flames engulf the city as Turkish depots and barracks explode. Bulgarian forces entered the eastern fortifications and secured major positions while the populace fled amid bombardment.
A wave of walkouts by ex Pert linemen and foremen halted electrification from Stamford to Bridgeport and jeopardized New York service. About 100 workers were called out at Union Street yards as trains stood idle. Company and union leaders blamed miscommunication, with wages and working-day terms in dispute. Eight workers remained to maintain the line amid cleanup, while negotiations contemplated arbitration.
Shukri Pasha, the Turkish commander in chief of Adrianople, is reported to have killed himself after the city’s capture. The dispatch from Sofia cites a news agency.
Allahabad March 26 Lieut Clark of the Indian army medical department was hanged here today for the murder of Fulham an assistant examiner of military accounts. He was found guilty on March 1 by the court at Agra. The trial of Clark and Mrs Fulham caused a great sensation in India. They were charged together with poisoning Mr Fulham and attempting to murder Mrs Clark in order that they might marry.
Expert workers from Union Metallic Cartridge Company will form the core of staff for the new Windsor Canada plant to manufacture cartridges. Local officials confirm plans to draft workers for transfer with a public list to follow. Windsor sits across the river from Detroit and the plant will start small then expand. Isa bella S Dougle of Danbury sues Haitsch Hat Co for 300 dollars claiming damages from a poisonous dye drain on her property and seeks an injunction to stop further discharge.

Alan Corey son of William Ellis Corey of United States Steel and a Yale star was fined 25 dollars for speeding on Fairfield Avenue. The case was postponed multiple times and he posted 100 dollar bonds. Prosecutor Banks said the incident involved nonreckless speeding near a school crossing.
Hartford March 26 Democratic Senators in caucus voted against confirming Gov Baldwin's nomination of William H. Corbin to succeed himself as tax commissioner for four years. Gov Baldwin spoke briefly, with Forster and other leaders urging opposition. Absences may affect the binding nature of the caucus vote as the Senate prepares to vote tomorrow.
Hartford March 26 The committee on fish and game votes to report a substitute bill on deer. It would open a one week November season after the bird season closes, permit shotgun hunting, and limit each hunter to one deer with penalties for out of season shooting or possessing more than one deer. The current farmer crop protection clause may remain unchanged.
